諦造神話的『小蜜蜂』
回顧三十多年前，長滿鬍子，頭戴西瓜帽的養蜂人 Burt Shavita，他毅然放棄城市生活，到 North Woods 的 Garland 小丘上生活，以養蜂賣蜜糖為生。

在1983年，Burt Shavitz 偶然遇上草藥學家 Roxanne Quimby，由於 Roxanne 曾修讀草本學，她希望將蜜糖配合草木做出天然的護膚品，於是在 1991 年一間看似普通住宅房間內 Burt、Roxanne 及附近 40 幾位家庭主婦，將煲熱的蜂蠟人手倒進小鐵罐中做出他們第 1 支潤唇膏，而器具是茶壺、雪鏟、火水燈、煮食爐。他們開始合作以 Burt 所飼養的蜜蜂為主題的護膚產品，由此而引發製造潤唇膏，直至時至今日，潤唇膏是 BURT'S BEES 市埸銷量最高的產品。
